The film will star Haley Lu Richardson and Cole Sprouse and will be released on March 15, 2019 by CBS Films. The novel Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincot Ishtar is the basis for the movie. It was released in 2018 and was written along with Daughtry and Iaconis. It revolves around 2 teenagers who have cystic fibrosis and their evolving love and how this not only affects their love but their lives.

Production

In January 2017, Tobias Iaconis and Mikki Daughtry sold their untitled screenplay to CBS Films for Justin Baldoni to produce and direct.[2] In January 2018, Cole Sprouse was cast to star in the film, titled Five Feet Apart.[3][4] In April 2018, Haley Lu Richardson and Moises Arias joined the cast with filming set to begin in the next month.[5][6]

Principal production began on May 25, 2018 in New Orleans, Louisiana[7][8] and concluded a month later, on June 26, 2018.[9] Lionsgate set a March 22, 2019 release date for the film.[10]
